Even when you have scheduled days assigned for laundry, it does not mean you have to wash all of your clothes, sheets, towels, and other garments at once. If you are doing this in the past, take a look before going over your next laundry load.

You do not have to bring all of your worn clothes to the laundry service, and some garments should be washed more often than once a week. Moreover, some can go longer. It is important to wash them based on the number of times you have worn them. Let’s take your jeans as an example, and you should wear them every four to five wearings.

In cases of bedsheets and pillowcases, they should be laundered once a week. Meanwhile, household linens, beddings, and towels have a different timeline.

Indeed, how often you should bring your laundry to a laundry pickup and delivery service depends on the garments you are washing. Read for more detailed information on how often you should wash your clothes.

    Underwear, Socks, and Bras

Undergarments, undershirts, and socks need to be washed after every use. Since these garments are in close contact with your skin and sweat, washing them after every use keeps them fresh.

However, bras are an exemption. You can wear them thrice to four times before washing them. Bras need to be washed less frequently because it is delicate. However, this only applies if you do not sweat much or if you are in cold weather.

Moreover, when washing with women’s lingeries, you need to do it by hand, and they need to be dried indoors, away from sunlight.

    Workout Clothes, Daily Wears

Daily wears like sweaters, jackets, and jeans can be worn several times before you can wash them. But, it is important to know when to wash them to maintain their quality and make them look their best.

However, there is an exception. You need to wash these clothes when stained or you have sweated too much while wearing them. Here are some of the basic guidelines on how often you should wash casual clothes:

    • Shirts and blouses: After wearing them once or twice
    • Workout clothes: Wash immediately after wear
    • Sleepwear: After two or three wearings
    • Jeans: After four to five wearings
    • Suits or Casual Jackets: After five to six wearings

    Sheets and Towels

Sheets and towels are the most daunting to wash because it becomes heavy when wet. You need to have a washer and dryer at home or rely on a laundry service. Wash your sheets weekly, while your towels should be laundered after three uses.

Wash sheets and towels in hot water and dry them in high heat to eliminate the bacteria and keep them clean.

    Final Sheets

You have to know when to dump your clothes into the hamper. There are some clothes or garments that you do not have to wash immediately. Only those that are stained or soiled should be washed as soon as possible.
