Most women look forward to seeing the pregnancy stick turn positive, but what happens if it fails? Are there ways to help you hold that bundle of joy someday in your life? Is infertility the end of hoping to ever have a family? Yes, you can, especially with infertility Buckhead evaluation options for men and women. You will get a comprehensive evaluation that checks for conditions that may be affecting your infertility. After the evaluation, your doctor can recommend treatment options, including the following.

    Intrauterine Insemination

IUI involves the placement of concentrated sperm directly in the uterus at the time of your ovulation. The procedure usually aims to swim the sperm into the fallopian tubes to be fertilized, thus the occurrence of a pregnancy. Your doctor may recommend IUI if you are a woman who needs donor sperm to conceive. The second reason for an IUI may be unexplained infertility, and you are opting for IUI as your first choice. During the procedure, your doctor inserts a speculum and then attaches a catheter with healthy sperm in it. The doctor will then push the sample sperm into your uterus and remove the tools. You can wait up to 14 days and then take a pregnancy test. You may require another insemination if the first one fails.

    In vitro fertilization

During an IVF procedure, your doctor collects mature eggs and then takes them to the lab for fertilization with sperm. Your doctor then takes the fertilized eggs and places them into your uterus. You can benefit from IVF if you have genetic issues causing your infertility. You can also choose IVF if you have fallopian tube blockages, ovulation disorders, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids, among other causes of infertility. IVF may have several steps, beginning with ovarian stimulation, retrieving the egg and sperm, fertilization, and then transferring the embryo into your uterus. A complete cycle of this procedure may go for as long as three weeks. After the transfer, you can go back to your routine but avoid activities that may cause discomfort. You may develop minor side effects, but if they seem severe, seek immediate medical attention.

    GIFT and ZIFT

Gamete and zygote intrafallopian transfers are the modern versions of the common IVF treatment. The two involve retrieving the male and female gametes, but with one difference, they are much quicker than IVF. The fertilized eggs are known as zygotes, and you can have the doctor place them in your tubes within 24 hours. The procedures in these two treatments may almost resemble natural conception. You can choose this procedure if you have any infertility, except when there are abnormalities and damage to your fallopian tubes.

You can choose any ART (assisted reproduction technology) procedure at Ideal Gynecology, LLC if you wish to get pregnant. You can access a medical team that will explain the steps in each procedure, its benefits, and risks. You can always ask any questions concerning infertility at any point in the consultation.
